The easiest way to lose weight fast is quite simple. Just stop eating. I know, I know this sounds a bit sarcastic but honestly, why do you have to lose weight fast anyway?

Why lose weight fast?

Losing weight takes at least the same amount of time as gaining weight. So I’m sorry, there is no fast solution, especially no fast and healthy solution. To stop eating is not an option and will do you more harm than any good.

See the problem is, you’re not only starving your body of calories but also of important nutrients like vitamins and minerals that have no calories but are crucial for daily bodily functions.

Furthermore with a rapid weight loss in mind, you don’t lose as much fat as you would hope but rather water and lean body tissue. Losing body fat is a complex process and needs time.

How to lose weight fast

So here are my suggestions depending on the assumed current situation that makes it so pressing for you to lose weight fast:

#1 – You have to lose weight fast because a long not seen relative or friend comes into town and you want to look slimmer.

Sorry. You are asking Google this question for the wrong reasons. This is the time to admit your diet and lifestyle habits got out of hand. Ask yourself how you got where you are and what your priorities in life are.

If you are ready for a change, develop a healthy strategy for long-term weight loss or seek professional help.

#2 – You are a model or runner and want to drop a few pounds before tomorrows shoot or race.

Yes, on a juice cleanse you will lose weight. The actual amount will depend on the duration. 5 pounds in 5 days is possible. However, if you just fall back into your old routine after the juice cleanse, this weight will be gained back in no time.

Also a juice cleanse is normally done to cleanse the body of toxins and other waste and not to lose weight. So this is not a walk in the park. Your body and you should be prepared for this sudden toxins release that can be accompanied with lousy detox symptoms like headaches, nausea, skin rashes, nasal or sinus congestion and constipation.
If you have never done a juice cleanse, start with one day and see if you can stand the idea of not eating for two more days.

… or/and a low-carb diet.

If you’re trying to lose weight fast, a low-carb diet can shed quickly 5-10 pounds, which is mainly due to loss of water and empty glycogen storages. Every glycogen molecule carries about four times its weight in water around. With empty glycogen storages your body therefore stores less water and is forced to burn fat for energy.

If you are not used to a low-carb diet, you will find it difficult to sustain physical activity at first. However, the weight loss will continue if you implement a strategy to refill your carbohydrate storages.

The Paleo diet is based on a similar idea. Since no grains or refined and artificial sugars are allowed in this diet, a huge source of carbohydrates is eliminated.

#4 – You are the bride to be and the thought of losing some pounds before the big day would be a nice gift.

You are going to be the star of the day, two pounds on or off. Don’t you dissipate your energy on non-relevant goals now. Book an appointment at the spa and get a full body wrap. Some wraps claim that they shed some inches from enveloped body parts and tighten and smooth the skin.
#5 – Actually you just researched the web in hope that someone finally has come up with a wonder pill for losing weight fast.

Sorry, someone has not. I know. It’s disappointing. It’s the same with “beaming” (transmitting a human body into space). I mean the idea of “beaming” has been around for so long now. Why is it so freaking hard to find a formula for that? I guess sometimes we just have to accept things like they are. If we want to reach a destination, we have to put in the work and cover the distance.
